Conversations Magazine's 25 Most Inspirational Books of 2015
My Gift of Now has made Cyrus Webb's Conversations Book Club's lists of the 2015 Top 100 Adult Books and the 2015 25 Most Inspiring Books!!

"My Gift of Now is a collection of memoirs and essays about tragic family loss through two plane crashes; finding love and marriage in middle age; travel and laughter; and issues of living the author sees as she looks around her. The reader will move from tears to laughter to empathy as the author tells her true stories of tragedy beyond comprehension happening twice in one family; of finding the needle in the haystack on a dance floor in her middle age years; of travel filled with laughter and unforgettable adventures. After two stellar careers, retirement brought a new career as an author published in over thirty anthologies and the freedom to focus on the gift of now."

On December 8th 2010, I read my essay “Four Sisters In Life And Death” as part of This I Believe: An Evening with radio host Bob Edwards and Producer Dan Gediman.

General Event Information
This I Believe: An Evening with Bob Edwards Wednesday, December 8, 2010 @ 7:00 p.m. Of all of life’s big questions, “What do you believe?” is one of the most important. And for many, the answer may be one of the hardest to actually put into words. By asking individuals to write and share their personal philosophies, This I Believe hopes to encourage people to express the core principles that guide their daily lives, and to develop acceptance of—and even respect for—beliefs different from one’s own. Join us for a special exploration of personal belief with public radio host Bob Edwards and Dan Gediman, Executive Director of This I Believe. Hear audio excerpts from Edward R. Murrow’s original 1950s series as well as live readings by local essayists who have contributed to this amazing collection. Learn more about the history of the project and the thinking behind the contemporary essays shared on stage, as Bob Edwards sits down with each essayist to talk more about their own personal philosophy. This I Believe is an international project engaging people in writing and sharing essays describing the core values that guide their daily lives. More than 90,000 of these essays, written by people from all walks of life, have now been collected: archived online, heard on public radio, chronicled through books, and featured in weekly podcasts.
